At their booth, My HOME Apparel will have CAEH23 swag, the Helping Home apparel collection in collaboration with CAEH, small Nova Scotia souvenir items as well as their HOME line of clothing. This is also where you would pick up your pre-ordered hoodies or t-shirts.
My HOME Apparel knows how important the word “home” is, which is they want to help give ALL Canadians a home. To help achieve this, a portion of all their profits are annually donated to homelessness initiatives across Canada.

The Basic Income Nova Scotia Society will be providing printed information about Basic Income Guarantee for Canada—what it is, why it is needed, what it would do, and progress in advocating for its implementation. They will have petitions to sign, posters to put in windows, and recently published books to buy. The people at their booth will be very happy to answer any questions conference participants may have.

Bookmark Halifax is a locally owned, independent bookstore. Since 1989, the Bookmark people have promoted the benefits of the written word, the beauty the book as physical object, and the value of sharing stories and ideas. They see independence as a virtue and are doing their part to keep our communities interesting and are strong supporters of the local literary community. At their booth, Bookmark will have a pop-up book shop with a selection of local, Canadian and international books pertaining to current events and conference themes.

Infrastructure Canada staff will be present at the Homeless Individuals and Families Information System (HIFIS) booth to engage with communities that are implementing and using HIFIS, as well as with conference attendees interested in learning more about HIFIS. The booth will feature a HIFIS demo site for attendees to view the various features and functionalities in HIFIS, including the following modules: Coordinated Access, Admissions, Point-in-Time Count, and Reports. A variety of information sheets about HIFIS will be available for conference attendees to take to learn more about HIFIS’ capabilities and how it can be used in their communities.

For over 26 years Raising the Roof has been leading the way on long-term solutions to homelessness across Canada through the creation of affordable housing, employment opportunities for people at risk of homelessness, and fundraising through the annual Toque Campaign. Raising the Roof’s longterm solution to affordable housing is called Reside. Reside renovates vacant or under-utilized spaces into energy efficient affordable housing through partnerships with social enterprise contractors and local housing providers. By creating employment opportunities and new units of deeply affordable housing with wraparound supports, Reside provides a tangible, targeted long-term solution to ending homelessness in Canada.

At VETS Canada we are committed to providing emergency/transitional support to homeless and at risk veterans. We match veterans with available resources to help them with a new start. Working within communities across Canada, we partner with housing/connect to a housing support worker, ensure they are connected to Veterans Affairs for benefits and support them to find suitable employment if they are able to work. VETS Canada Ground Support program covers eviction prevention, temporary emergency accommodation, food insecurity, clothing, transportation, household goods, medical supplies or devices and customized support to meet the needs of every unique individual and their family.
